To the bolded. Again, the locations and who they play are predetermined in advance for 14 of 16 games with the last two set the year prior. You are just gonna have to trust us Pats fans on this one.

Agreed 100% the rub comes from how the NFL lays out the schedule. Do the Pats play home on TNF or the road, which the NFL controls. Do the pats play 4 playoff teams on the road or not, and so.
The biggest gripe i have with things is when there is a key game like this last one and one guy gets some more time. So agree.
A few more tidbits from the Pats past. I forget the year (it might of been '15), but late in the year the pats played three straight teams who had played TNF the week prior, so three teams with 10 days off each.
So it kind of evens out, but that do not change the fact that is sucks when its your turn.
