I don't know if it's accurate or not, but I heard something about Eddie that altered my assessment of his 'fall.'
It's not so much the bubble and the money, as he wanted to make things he would be proud to show his kids. He tried to thread the needle of his comedy skills and family-friendly fare.
I mean, his Nutty Professor and Dreamworks voice stuff is pretty solid, and his character in Bowfinger is fantastic, Life, Mr. Church, Dreamgirls, . . voice work in The PJs. He still has quality stuff out there.
