From Vietnam all the way until 86? thats a mighty long career... I bet you've got a chest full of awards and sleevefuls of stripes

I retired as a CW4 - no stripes. I reenlisted after Viet Nam, (I was a Staff Sergeant) changed MOS from 11B to 351L, went to school at Fort Meade then Fort Huachuca and headed to Germany. Worked at Heidelberg, Mannheim and Berlin. After that, I was stationed at different embassy's from London to Moscow. I always thought it "sort of funny" that back then, Europe was nearly as dangerous as Viet Nam - but few know that.
I enjoyed my time in the military, taught me a lot about "the world"...but the advances today in the military - I don't know if I really like them or are afraid of them..
