Yeah, you don't want to back up the Brinks truck in hopes of having him 'forever' because longevity at corner is always precarious. But securing him early with a little sweetening to let him know he's loved is prudent. He's talented enough to 'lock down' and keep happy.
While I'm leery of a 10 year premium deal, I'm even more leery of the pressure of a pending free market for him a few years down the road.
