The turf is no excuse for losing. The Chiefs played on the same turf.
However, despite the ass-kicking, I'll bet you five bucks a) the Patriots still finish with a better record than KC, and b) the Chiefs have to come back to Gillette in the playoffs. And Belichick probably thinks the same so he's thinking ahead. He's installing a special new turf, much like the old Boston Garden parquet floor that had deadspots the Celtics knew about. This new turf will have controllable pockets he can activate with the iWatch he got from the Red Sox so, as a Chief passes over the spot on a passing route or running with the football, he can deflate the turf spot and cause a trip or fumble or a slowdown that results in an INT.
Book it. Pats beat the Chiefs in the AFCCG, 27-24, when the Chiefs are driving for a TD and the WR mysteriously "slips" and causes a game-ending pick.
