I think it's more "fantasy"-based than predatory, I mean they're in school just as much if not more than the students, and it's quite possible they get sucked into that same high school culture and stigmas that kids do. Sounds stupid and immature, but a vast majority of our population fit the bill for those two adjectives.

I'm not young, 18 was the drinking age when I was in school... I drank with some of my teachers and had a great time, I just knew what should, and shouldn't be, broadcast.
