See how much better that sounds than "I think they are only committed to me for one more year", how does that go over with his teammates? Are they buying in on a guy who thinks its his last year here?
The more I think about it the more I think it was a TERRIBLE statement for him to make.

You see the flaw in this statement? It's indicating to the fans/management/Mahomes that he's here to stay for 2 years when in reality, they are only significantly (financially) tied to him for one.
