I get pretty irritated by that as well. I don't think individual stats matter that much or if players get off to a slow start doesn't matter much, but how the team looks as a whole and the record definitely does. All these losses count just as much as September ones and if players are going to start slow you have to find a way to tread water and we haven't.
We have what, 60 games before trades could start happening? To prevent trades we obviously need to be playing well and have a winning record, so in the next 60 games to have any hope we need to probably win 35 games at minimum with closer to 40 being more likely necessary. Hopefully we have one last sustained push.
