Still getting used to this new machine of mine. Loving everything but the seat. It's pretty awful. I broke down and ordered a Corbin which should be here in a month or so. I'm counting the days!
I was able to sneak in a nice little ride to Rocheport, MO on Saturday. Took 24 Hwy out there from KC. Most of the way there, we were the only vehicles in sight. On the way, we stopped off at Arrow Rock, which was sort of neat. Not sure that I'd go 100 miles out of my way to see it, but if you're bored on I-70 and need a break, it's not too far away. The weather was perfect- not too hot, not too cold. We also got a good mix of laid-back riding and a little bit of hauling ass in as well. My riding buddy only had tinted goggles, so we were racing the sun back to KC.
Next up is a trip down to Fayetteville at the end of the month. Sounds like we are making a pit stop at Branson along the way. Anyone here know of some good back roads to take? My planned route is to take 13 South from Clinton to Springfield. After that, maybe 160 to 248 into Branson? Any better ideas or detours we should take?
