Broncos | Christian McCaffrey on Denver's radar?
Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey could be in the mix to be the Denver Broncos' first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft in large part due to the bond general manager John Elway has with former Broncos teammate Ed McCaffrey - Christian's father, according to Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline.
It'd be a nice story, although one that seems far-fetched given the Broncos' desire to improve the offensive line. While McCaffrey will be listed as a running back in the NFL, offensive coordinators who want to maximize his talent will be utilizing him all over the field, including as a slot receiver and returner. Denver would not be an ideal landing spot since the Broncos probably want to be more of a run-oriented offense and give C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker the bulk of the workload in the backfield.
