They are an expensive team, but in losing Love and JR Smith for extended time, they became desperate.
They will likely walk out with Kyle Korver, Deron Williams, and Andrew Bogut while adding almost nothing to their cap. And Derrick Williams who has been surprisingly very good. They basically got 4 quality depth guys for nothing in midseason. Griffin really pulled a rabbit out of the hat.
I'm happy about this. But I also recognize this makes the NBA salary cap a complete joke.
