Christiansted is easily the runaway winner. Not sure why but I envision that home in a James Bond movie with Sean Connery walking up and a scantily clad woman in the pool then he runs into a villain.
Puerto Rico is full of Puerto Ricans! NO WAY-crime is rampant and it's turned into an island version of Venezeula
No way on either of the DC properties as I already live here in the area and I HATE DC: parking sucks balls, traffic getting around horrific, red light and speed cameras everywhere, streets hard to navigate and lots of dumb rules. I still get lost and have a hard time navigating through DC after 10 years.

I was really close on picking the downtown DC location. I think you wouldn't need a car (if you could get groceries), and it would be a great place in terms of culture. You could spend every weekend going to the museums and really studying and understanding the exhibits. The USVI house and views are just superb, but it can't compete with having the Smithsonian and the Air and Space Museum in your back yard.
