The Pi 3 has wifi and blue tooth built in. I am using a PS3 controller for everything. I'm able to connect via blue tooth pretty easily. The only "drawback" if you want to call it that, is that when connecting the controller, it uses the whole Blue Tooth capability. So, if you have other devices connected via BT, you will loose that capability. The key board I have has a simple USB dongle though, so it wasn't an issue. I rarely need the keyboard after set up anyway. If you are going to use a 360 controller, which is what I wanted, you will need to make sure your USB cable has the ability to transmit data. It took me 2 or 3 hours to figure that out. IF you are dead set on using the 360 controller, you'll need to order an usb adapter for wireless.
