Yeah, I'm well aware of that. My point, which I've stated before, is that I don't think the show is actually spoiling much of anything at this point. If there's any connection at all, I think it'll be primarily broad strokes (like perhaps the origin of Hodor's name), maybe some overall themes, but that the TV series has gone off completely on its own now.

I think we're going to see more and more things that have never happened/will never happen in the books, kind of like Jamie and Bronn traveling together, or most of Brienne's arc, etc.
