I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy goes guns a blazin' to get Chuck committed. He'd have the support of Chuck's doctors, and could write off that recording as him playing along with a delusional fantasy. Getting Chuck committed could ruin both HHM and the McGill name, necessitating the advent of Saul (in more ways than one).

Given Chuck's mental condition and being secretly taped under the circumstances, he's got the equivalent of a howitzer with only blanks.
At first blush it's intimidating, but upon closer inspection, can't do much more than a flesh wound.
Ernie coming clean would be him actually getting any live ammo.
The doctor is certainly not going to help chuck's case- she's already recommended him being committed.
If Chuck goes public with this, he will do far greater damage to HHM, and even his fitness to keep his license to practice could be in jeopardy.
A hidden recording really only paints Jimmy as trying to do whatever to make his brother feel better, not to mention I don’t know New Mexico's wiretapping laws or possible legality issues with his little stunt.
