If we can't get Poe extended this off-season with the leverage of the 5th yr option and possible franchise tag, it suggests that we'll likely be unable to get him re-signed at all.
It will also more closely align with his prime years. If you extend him this off-season to a deal that pays him well but has an escape hatch in 4 seasons, you'll get ages 26-29. If you let him get through year 5 and his tag year, he'll be through 26 and 27 and an extension may well be tough to escape before age 31.
In addition to our FAs, this is a very prime off-season for Dorsey to get deals done with Poe, Fisher and Kelce. Dorsey could put this team in outstanding position for the next 5 years if he's able to have a home run offseason.
