But you know what sucks for me is that I
so wanted to love this movie. I was so ready for it to be so incredibly awesome and I couldn't wait to be blown away.
When the tickets went on sale online and the websites were down, I drove down to the box office and purchased the best seats that were available opening day, which just happened to be at 11:00pm on Thursday night. And this is during the holidays, with kids in and out of school and some construction happening at my house, in which the guys were arriving at 6:30 in the morning, firing up the saws-alls first thing.
Yet, I didn't care. It was Star Wars!

Rogue One will get me back on board but as of now, I'm just not excited about VIII & IX, although I like both directors infinity more than Abrams.
Also, Abrams is on the pub circuit saying that if Ren didn't kill Han Solo, his character wouldn't have had any "weight". IMO, Ren didn't need to kill his father to have "weight" in this film but he certainly didn't need to have his ass kicked by a former stormtrooper or a girl that focused on the Force, something she believed was a myth an hour earlier, that also kicked his ass, scared his face, chopped off his arm/hand and maybe blinded him.
That would have given him plenty of "weight". You know, not getting your ass kicked by a novice girl. But I digress...
