The Giants have had a hole at free safety ever since they chose not to re-sign Antrel Rolle in the offseason. Veteran journeymen Craig Dahl and Brandon Meriweather have been soaking up snaps for the Giants next to rookie SS Landon Collins. Weddle would provide a big boost to a secondary that just gave up a league-record seven touchdowns to Drew Brees on Sunday.

It would seem to me that after Sunday's Giants / Saints game it would be wise to have a secondary on the field.
