I was a late adopter myself, I kept thinking it was probably just reeruned shit with narcissists posting what they ate that day, but what I didn't realize is that you don't have to follow assholes. You can follow only funny people, news sites, and interesting people.
I now have access to twitter at all times, at home, on my phone, at work, I always have a twitter window open. There is no other way to get big news faster, and aside from knowing whats up, its just awesome. My twitter is basically all various news sites, Royals Chiefs and UFC stuff, a few interesting scientists and tech guys, and tons and tons of comedians who are desperately trying to entertain me every day because they are probably trying to sell tickets.
