Finally got my Taurus 24\7 compact last week. Put about 150 rounds through it, and I'm very happy. A couple of times the slide wouldn't close all the way, but it's in the break in period so I'm not concerned. No jams at all.
It has a Double Action pull for the first round then resets to single...which is a bit of a problem for me getting used to the trigger pull. My first shot is off the mark but subsequent shots are pretty good. Also, I thought the sites were off since it was consistently shooting low and to the left, but a buddy of mine mentioned that I might be rolling the trigger to the left. Also, it's a shorter barrel than I'm used to, and it turns out I was holding it kinda wrong.
By the end of shooting, I was getting much better groupings at 25 feet. The kick is not too bad for a short barrel in a .45.
In short, I have to keep shooting it to get used to it, but it's a great gun, especially for the price. It comes with a 10 round and 12 round extended mag, and a mag speed loader, which is quite the thumb saver. Never used one before, but it's great.
Awesome gun. I can't wait to get out and shoot it again!
