I keep thinking "Y'know, maybe we should just outright cut Bowe rather than June 1 him so we aren't carrying his dead money next year" but then I remember that the June 1 cut on him would free up a bunch of cap this year that, if unused, would just carry over to next year and end up offsetting that dead money anyway. So the added flexibility to deal with something like a front-loaded offer sheet to Houston would be huge.

If you're savvy about how you use those rollovers, you can really do some nimble cap maneuvering.
