If we have OT and Miller maybe we could have traded for an upgrade at CF. Now we just have to hold our noses, cover our eyes every time he throws the ball into the infield. Don't get me wrong, if he can hit .300 his weak arm is tolerable.

They also have Bourjos and conceivably Grichuk to platoon w/ LHP up. Also, it's a possibility that Piscotty could show further development. Adding Heyward for what we paid is a boon, too.
In a perfect world, Taveras gives us six years of elite production in the OF, but it's also possible he could have ended up like a lot of overhyped prospects that under produce at the big league level (Mike Moustakas). We'll never know. By getting Heyward this year, at least we know that we are likely to get elite production from what was the worst part of our team in '14.
