But my question wasn't meant to bash Google. It was a serious question about how people are weighing the desire for the item against the many known actions of the company.

Oh I understand, but literally every tech company is that way. MS, apple, facebook, HP, Citibank. They all do terrible shit from human rights violations, to privacy concerns to selling your information..
