Interesting to note, Mayle was heavily recruited by Holgorsen at WVU and ended up at WSU with Leach in what is basically the same system.

All four of these guys are very similar. Not really very good get off or acceleration, but high point the ball well and run good routes. (Parker times/highpoints as well as anybody I've ever seen, but he just doesn't have the burst.)

A guy who has really good start speed and can glide down the field is Dres Anderson. Not as thick as the previous guys, but better speed.

Sammie Coats also has terrific speed, but is pretty raw in terms of routes, hands, etc. I think we just signed a guy like him in DaRick Rogers, so...

We've got pinball speed guys in Albert Wilson and DeAnthony Thomas. We've got a stretch the field dude in Rogers. What I'd love to see is a bigger, possession receiver who can actually catch the ball and run routes. Those first four fit the bill, though I'm not sold on any of them as a better football player than the possible trench guys that will also likely be there with the #18 pick such as LSU OL La'el Collins, Miami OL Ereck Flowers, Notre Dame OL Ronnie Stanley, UW DL Danny Shelton or FSU DL Eddie Goldman. (Florida State CB PJ Williams would also be acceptable with this pick.)

Personally, I don't think that any of the four offer the upside that Donte Moncrief did last year at the same size/position, but that's another argument altogether.

If I was wanting that guy, Mayle in the second or third (where he is projected) is a better alternative than White in the first, IMO, especially if we were to come away with an immediate high level plug and play guy like Collins on the offensive line.
