It's very, very, very rare. Plus, with six movies worth of music (equating to about eight hours or more), there's really no reason to "score" a trailer.
For "Man of Steel", parts of Zimmer's actual score was used and I would think that's more likely, especially due to the cost, which would likely be a minimum of $300k.
