1974 OT loss to Syracuse in the East Regional Final after Chuckie Williams hit a BOMB to put us ahead. Ugh..

But after 29 years of waiting. And dat comeback... Yea, it choked me up to see the Royals take out the A's on the 45th anniversary of my Dad leaving this world and the 16 year anniversary of Quiz' death.
I staggered from EJJ Dome back to my hotel - leaving my friends, not saying a word. I was just shocked, emotionless and stunned back into the reality that our Greatest Season of All Time ended at the hands of a very marginal aTm team using their back-up QB. It was a choke job beyond all choke jogs...........
