The Jets have a GM and coach who don't like each other. The Jets are something like 20 mil under the cap. Upper management did its best to make Rex's life miserable and impossible.

That's the problem. They are mortgaging a ton for a small payoff. Winning a bad division just to get your ass kicked in Round 1 is foolish. It's like overextended yourself to lease a car. You get short-term transportation out of it, but you're left without any assets and a lot of financial damage.
