If you read the original article, it says this:
Founded in 1950, Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm & Zoo describes itself as the world's largest crocodile farm.
Its website says it has more than 100,000 crocodiles over 300 acres and was created to help safeguard the animals from extinction.
Barring a meteor strike on the farm itself, I think crocodiles are safe from extinction due to their efforts. Of course, I also suspect that perhaps they're doing a lot of purse and belt manufacturing on site, too.
