Surely the KU guy who brought up their garbage schedule was part of the nefarious plots to disrupt Mizzou success (just look at all the NCAA employees over the years we have working as our double-agents). But actually the article was from a guy in SEC territory who probably doesn't even care much about Mizzou. Unless he's another lackey we put on the payroll.

I don't care what the world thinks of Mizzou. I kind of generally assume that fans of other teams look at Mizzou the same way I look at any program that I'm not a fan of (whether in the NFL, college or MLB or whatever): Hoping for them to fail. It's a screw everybody mindset...
You threw out a blanket statement that the schedule was going to be horrendous the next few years and asked why they wouldn't consider picking up a mid-major with a pulse... even though 3/4 of the schedule is unknown and the mid-major on the slate next year is a team that has won 28 games the past 3 years and played in its conference title game each year.
I don't expect big things from the 2015 schedule. I imagine it might look something like this year's (which is pretty respectable, really... I had no problem selling 4 non-premium seats this week for a grand total of $250 - $10 above face). If they can find a UCF like team, the OOC won't be horrendous.
And, ultimately, playing in the SEC, even with the unbalanced schedule, Missouri plays in a division with 3 teams that will be ranked preseason more often than not (Georgia, Florida, South Carolina). The league has a conference championship game. That schedule overall is very, very rarely going to be "horrendous."
