Green Valley Ranch is a bit of a mystery to me. I don't even really know where it is other than that it's somewhere near the airport.
I did a cost of living study at the worst of the recession, and GVR was astoundingly inexpensive. You could get a 3-BR home there for something like $120,000. It was the most heavily foreclosed place in the metro area since it's so new and a bunch of new homeowners got caught up in the mortgage stuff. I half-considered buying a house up there purely for speculation.
