It was a mistake to make a push for the playoffs so goddamn soon. ****, it's hard to even believe Dorsey had playoffs on the brain after taking over a 2-14 team. In most circumstances the team would have improved to 8-8 or so, which seemed to be Dorsey's goal given the parameters of the Alex Smith trade.
So he wanted to **** over our salary cap for one year of 8-8 and then fade into the distance with a cap-strapped team and very little in terms of star players?
That was pure dumbassery.
