I have never had any luck with real Parmesan cheese. The flavor always disappears when I add it to sauces. And even when I grate it directly on to pasta it isn't as good as the Kraft Cheese Dust.
If anyone is a fan of the stuff, I highly recommend BellaVitano Gold.
Great on crackers.
