In all seriousness, I am in agreement that it's nearly impossible to keep straight who's who when there's a segment of regulars that often change names, plus the mult / sock / troll accounts, and, of course, just the normal influx of n00bs.
But, I'm not sure what is the best way to remedy it.
It'd be cool if it was possible to designate a different color to the username for members that recently changed their names. The you could hover the mouse over the username and a floating information box could list previous names.
Then after like a 30 or 60 day period, the user name color would go from brown, for example, back to the standard black like the rest are normally displayed.

No, the simplest way is when a person makes an account, that is the name that stays with them when you hover over their name. I wanted to change may name 10 times in 10 days, it would still be ROYC75 and not some fly by night name I dreamed up next!
