This sucks more than many celebrity deaths.
Not because Robin Williams was so talented but because a person who delivered so much laughter was ended by so much sadness.
I used to be one of those people who said things like "just call someone" or that suicide is a coward's exit. Last fall, one of my good friends, one of the most faithful, caring, selfless, giving, compassionate and charitable people I've ever known became so saddened and convinced that his family and world would be better without him that he shot himself.
I just couldn't fathom that this person did that. Not him. For all of the money in the world I'd never have guessed his name if given 1000 chances. He did therapy, medication, and all of the things he was supposed to do, except conquer depression.
That disease is #2 to cancer on my "screw you" disease list.
Someone in his family sent me a link that they said very much explained his struggle in a way that they hoped helped people understand what it was like for my friend.
