I'm not afraid of us playing anyone right now. We just took 2 outta 3 from the A's and them boys are a bunch of bullies! Idk if this means anything, but when Hosmer went out is about when we took off again. With Belly playing in the field he is hitting just over .400, but he's the only guy that has gotten hot average wise. We aren't kicking any bodies ass in this run we're on. RS v RA over the last 10 games is 43-34 so the same solid pitching and defense and slightly more runs (for us), but I looked further into it and we are hitting home runs. Much easier to win by knocking the ball over the fence than it is stringing 4 hits together to score 2 runs. If this team was even a top-25 team in HR's we'd have at least another 5-6 wins....really even more annoying when you look more at the numbers. Maybe the Hosmer thing is just a coincidence, but Belly sure swings the bat a hell of a lot better when he's playing in the field. And fortunately he hasn't been terrible in the field. Now of course Hosmer will go right back in the lineup when he comes back. What that will do I have no idea (similarly I have no idea where I'm going with this either) but I just hope we keep doing what we're doing....lots of fun. Praying that this is the one time in 30 years that we don't shit the bed! The end.
