trying to format my vista laptop

I have a 70 GB C: partition and a 70 GB D: partition. Thus total 140 gb. The C: doesn't have much space left and the D: mostly free. I tried to re-allocate most of the D: to the C:. I was able to create a E: with 38GB, but don't want that. I want 2/3 D: to go to the C:. I didn't back up the 'puter before trying to re-PARTITION (dummy me).

So, how do I re-allocate the phantom "E" drive over to the C:?

Again, had 70 in C and 70 in D. Or is there two hard drives?

I want to move storage from D: to C:

I tried to paste the system stats...couldn't

Thus now I have 70 GB C: 35 GB D: and 35 out floating in ether?
