Hey Fairplay!
No, but I have some thoughts about Lewis Hamilton disobeying team rules over the radio with Mercedes. The team told Hamilton to let Rosberg pass because he had the car that could overtake Alonso and Ricciardo. Instead, Hamilton disobeyed team orders costing the team a victory in Hungary. Hamilton ran Rosberg off the racing line.
Team rules have been around for as long as Formula 1 existed. F1 is truly a team sport.
Mercedes wants one of their drivers to win a World Championship. Nevertheless, more importantly, they would like to win (for the first time) the title of World Champion Constructor, which is an award to the car “make” that has scored the most points during the season.
Two weeks ago, Rosberg had team orders from Merc to allow Hamilton to pass and he obeyed. Team engineers track lead cars and know whether they have the car to win or not in the final laps.
