You're definitely going to be laid up for a spell. Probably a full leg brace that actually wraps around your pelvis.
It's not unusual for you to have this as an outpatient. They'll give you pain meds. Just use them wisely. And taking a dump? Get a high chair for the commode if you can. More than likely your leg will remain straight while having to sit on the can. If you have a low commode, that's going to be a problem for you.
