I will say that Smith impressed me greatly this playoff game. Do I think they can win a playoff game next year? No, this defense is still greatly missing a proper scheme and playcalling.

The offense still needs some WRs with speed and maybe letting Smith call the O plays..

They are still a ways off on competing with the elite.
just keep it in perspective. People here hate me when I try to point out the faults of this team, like when I said it played a remarkably easy schedule. No one expected this team to go 11-5 and be in the playoffs at the beginning of the year. People like myself predicted, at best, 8-8. This team overachieved and kc fans got all excited and caught up in the emotional high of thinking kc could go all the way. This team has some great pieces to build on. It's got a solid coaching staff and front office. It over achieved this year but next year they will be right back in the playoff hunt, and that's really all you can ask for.
