Also, it sure seemed like the NFL had the Saints scheduled for a Superbowl win the year they won. Gave them free reign to batter Favre in the NFC Champ game, and still had to get a Favre brain fart to win. 1) Iirc only one of the hits Favre took would have been anywhere close to unnecessary roughness.
2) Favre going to the Superbowl would have been a Much bigger story than the Saints in 2009. Would make zero sense for the league to rig that.
3) The Vikings lost because of Favre not because of the refs.
