Lilly kills Lori and Judith and then freaks out because she had to kill a baby. She is pissed at the Gov and shoots him in the head, leaving him lying on the ground still alive. He then gets eaten by walkers (roamers in the comic).
Most of Rick's group is killed and Carl and Rick strike out on their own (the show looks like it follows this arc later). Glenn, Maggie, Dale and Andrea had taken off earlier but Andrea comes back to help fight. Tyreese is the one beheaded by the Gov not Herschel (Herschel gives up after his son Billy is killed and the Gov shoots him in the head). Everyone else dies.
