Last night was interesting. There were three key games with big implications for Mizzou:
Georgia at Auburn. This was obvious. A Georgia win helps Missouri tremendously, but it doesn't cripple Mizzou's chances.
Florida at South Carolina. I didn't think Florida had any chance going in, so the fact this was a game really surprised me. I think Muschamp is a coward. A first-down play-action pass in the second half likely goes for 6 and salts that game away.
Stanford at USC. If you're looking at Mizzou's hopes for the national title, this game probably helps more than either of the previous two. A one-loss Stanford team would have been a hurdle Mizzou could not clear, IMO. Now, all Missouri has to do is:
1) Win the rest of its games, including a likely SEC title game showdown with Bama
2) See at least Ohio State lose. I think the Tigers can hurdle an undefeated Baylor team, but if FSU and Ohio State finish unbeaten, they're in.
No small task, right?
