Niners Mostert is a Class Act

The San Francisco 49ers' Raheem Mostert is returning Damien Williams' jersey after the pair swapped them after the Super Bowl.

"Contemplated putting this on eBay but this belongs to YOU and yours! You did your thing. Hand this down for generations! PROUD OF YOU BRO! Much love," Mostert tweeted Wednesday. Williams tracked down Mostert in the tunnel after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl to trade jerseys.

"Don't let this be the end of our journey," Williams told Mostert.

Damien Williams is better

He considered putting it on ebay? Really? I hope that was a joke.

I agree. Hopefully a hamfisted attempt at humor, or maybe an inside joke.

They were friends and teammates in Miami...yes, it was a joke.

I finally got to hear the audio of that conversation in the tunnel between Williams and Mostert. They clearly have a deep bond of friendship and brotherhood. They were both UDFAs and both let go by the Dolphins.

Maybe the Dolphins are the low-key coastal version of the Browns. Williams and Mostert are both better running backs than what the Dolphins have now, and they just played each other in the Super Bowl.

A lot of times those guys trade jerseys and sell them on ebay or auction them off and give the money to charity.

Don't forget their old QB just beat Brady and Lamar in the playoffs and went to the AFC title game.

Williams put Mostert’s jersey on eBay and made $9.50 for charity

Mostert is on like his 7th roster. In a scheme that made Terrell Davis, Olandis Gary, Mike Anderson etc all look like superstar backs, he has found success, but still isn't the starter.

People here were bagging on Williams as well. So its not really that much of a stretch to see that another team let them go.

Its all about scheme fit.

Dude just won the Super Bowl with a monster performance , and when my brother asked who I thought was the MVP I said it had to be Damien. And he take the time to run down a former teammate to build him up and basically say don’t let this loss define you, keep grinding. Love this guy.
