Evergreen thread.

I mean it's not technically a Q...but it's pretty much a Q.

What a world we live in when a dude who loves to smoke pot gets expelled before a woman beater

If players are going to get the book thrown at them for weed and alcohol by league mandate (not team violation of rules) then it's a total disgrace if kraft doesn't get the book thrown at him.

In fact, considering Jerry Jones hates kraft, id bet he's not going to let this Gregory thing go.

Pretty sure no one is getting away with beating a woman 4 times. That's the equivalent here.

Didn't the players have a say in that?

I kind of don't get this.

My employees would get fired for things I wouldnt fire myself for.

Well, first of all, assume you and your competitor both reported to the same CEO. Second... It's not Jerry jones' choice to suspend hardy, zeke, or Gregory and he's made it no secret that pissed him off. Its the leagues and arguably his competitor had the biggest voice in architecting the personal conduct policy. Jerry Jones has said that he thinks weed suspensions are stupid.

It would be one thing if the Cowboys suspended Gregory for substance abuse (its not a PED).

Again it's employees getting suspended. Not owners. Apples to oranges imo.

And I think Kraft WILL get some kind of punishment, but I feel like it will be one of those that don't really matter.
Money? He doesn't ****ing care. Suspension? He will just tell people what to do from home.

You're right it was only 2 assaults in 1 off season

I doubt any punishment will impact the patriots. A suspension will piss him off and it will shame kraft and I do think he cares that his legacy has been smeared. There's plenty of precedent. Irsay got 6 games for DUIs. Saints GM Mueller was suspended for bountygate (you can ask any saints fan how they feel about krafts role in all that).

But my main point is that kraft has pissed a lot of owners off over the years with his moral superiority horse shit and his playing commissioner for years. They actually can influence whatever punishment kraft gets.

How can they influence that?
