If KC is 13-1....do you rest the starters?

Obliviously a few things have to break right for KC to see this scenario to play out....but its not out of the realm of happening. NE has a road game against the Steelers and Vikings at home. Chargers have Bengals/Ravens and road games against Steelers and Denver.

If KC wins this week....they realistically could be sitting at 13-1 with a 2.5 game advantage in the AFC.

What do you do? Do you take a 3 week vacation and avoid any chance of injury?

SPchief 11-13-2018 02:32 AM

You rest no one until HFA is locked.

Buns 11-13-2018 02:36 AM

I think in this scenario, it is locked. He is saying after week 15, the Chiefs have clinched the #1 seed. Do you rest the starters? I think that is what he is saying.

Treat the last 2 games like preseason. Have the starters play the first half or so, then sit them 3 weeks off before our playoff game is just asking for trouble

I put Houston, Ford, Watkins, Hunt, Kelce and LDT on snap counts.

The rest need to go as regularly planned.

New World Order 11-13-2018 02:52 AM

Play them 1.5 quarters week 16 then sit them out week 17.

Andy didn't do that when we had the bye in 2016.

He won't do it now.

Flying High D 11-13-2018 06:02 AM

Well, we all know one that will be sitting. There’s that. D2D 4ever

it would be like a preseason game they'll play till Andy is satisfied

Not until home field is locked down. And even then, you'd only rest them the last week, they're already going to get a week off in that scenario. You can't lay guys up for three or four weeks and expect them to come out in playoff form

RealSNR 11-13-2018 06:42 AM

Berry plays all of the snaps!

Definitely rest Berry, he needs some time off to heal.

Chiefnj2 11-13-2018 07:17 AM

Yes, rest them.

It seems like every playoff game KC loses someone to an injury and then the offense falls apart. Give the #2's some reps so they can finally step up if need be.
