Leon McQuay, does he have a chance this season?

In the absence of Dirty Dan there's gonna be a fight for who partner's Berry in the secondary. Murray has been getting the reps but has notoriously struggled against big tight-ends and word from camp is Kelce is lighting him up too. Then we have Watts who has unfortunately missed a good chunk of camp and didn't really cover himself in glory in the game against the Texans.

Mcquay has been in the system for a year now, is a big dude at 6'1 and was getting rave reviews before he picked up a knock recently. He's back now so hopefully we'll see him against Atlanta. He played in that "Mahomes" game against Denver and done well from what I remember so I think he may have a legit chance if Watts and Murray don't step up over these next few weeks.

You been to the Dungver thread lately?? There’s people clamoring for Chaz Kelly. Looks like the Keesum experiment ended quickly!

I strongly doubt the veracity of that claim by his agent, more likely we were only ramping up the pressure on them

I'm more angry about the lack of information when Russell Wilson was available and instead we took a backup tackle

I thought I remembered hearing rumors about it back then.

I'm not so sure it's made up.

Did the Chiefs ever bring in Paxton Lynch? Considering they didn't even have a first round pick in that draft I have to think Reid would have put him through the six hour ordeal he put Mahomes through before trading away a first and third to move up there.

This has already been disproved.

Peter King was in the Cowboys war room when we called to see if they wanted to trade up for Lynch while he was falling.

If we wanted Lynch, why were we calling teams trying to trade down so they can go up and get him?

I honestly have no idea - but we really need someone to step up in the secondary.

JoeyChuckles 08-13-2018 06:15 PM

Isn't this the guy we drafted with the first pick in that NFL draft commercial in 2013?

Skyy God 08-14-2018 09:34 AM

Well, yeah.

Murray is underwhelming, Dirty Dan broke his leg, and Berry is ailing.

I still think that Shaunard Harts deserved more of a shot, but that's probably water under the bridge now.
