I'm kinda torn on Peters... and not just the "he's a good player but seems to need to mature"... I don't know if he will ever be the guy a lot of KC fans want him to be, but by all accounts, he seems like a good dude off the field. Contrary to what most think, my concern is on the field. I don't know if they guy fits in a TEAM atmosphere. He seems to think a ton about what is best for Juiceman... I dunno..

He's a head case. Doesn't really matter why he is or why he shouldn't be.

I wish him nothing but the best in life and on whatever team we trade him to as soon as possible.

I'll take that as a badge of honor coming from you. I don't have the financial means Peters does but I've got a decades long track record of helping and coaching kids. You have no idea of what you speak. It will take him 10 years to catch me |

Certain of it. |
Well, I like Marcus Peters and wish we had another CB with his skill set. Does he frustrate me? Of course. Honestly, I'm just not comfortable with his "ghetto" talk and persona, but how has that hurt the team (or anyone else for that matter). And, just because I don't understand it certainly doesn't mean it's wrong. It's just different from what I'm used to.
And yeah, it pisses me off that he sits for the anthem, but it's not exactly an egregious act. Frankly, it seems like he's simply emulating his hero/buddy, M Lynch. I'm also not crazy about his "carefulness" in making tackles, but I really don't recall that hurting us too much. And, generally, he is attempting to rip the ball away, so it's not like he's completely disengaged. Then, you have his ability to play CB, and it didn't take long for the league to call him a star. The guy is a talent. Give me another one just like him. |
