How much would you personally pay to save Hos and Moose?
 

Let's just assume there's some magic kickstarter by a trusted source. If Hos and Moose don't stay for at least a 5 year contract each, the money is refunded. (Or maybe if one stays, ~half is refunded - if people seem to like that better - details hammered out before any money is donated)

How much would you personally be willing to contribute? My thinking is I paid $700 for a world series ticket. I'd certainly spend $500 to not lose Hos and Moose. Some people feel like this is just a gift to the Glass family. But remember, they only keep the money if the players stay.

If 1 million Royals fans donated $100 each, we could get $100 Million dollars. I don't think that would really even be difficult. I don't want to sign them if Glass has to spend the money, but if fans are willing, that would be more ideal. A huge Hosmer contract would really hamper this franchise. Too risky.

$0. More worth while causes I would rather invest time and money in.

I hope they can keep Hosmer but if they don't I will follow him anywhere and join forums to tell fans how great he is no matter how he plays.

$0. It’s not my job as a fan to pay player’s salaries directly. If I want to contribute, I’ll buy some gear, tickets, or concessions at a game. At least I’m getting something in return for my money that way.

I'd commit to buying a ticket package, but I can't imagine an actaul donation. I've 'donated' plenty in tickets, $10 beers and $8 hot dogs that cost them a few nickels.

Follow up question: Even if this happened, would Royals have any legitimate shot at playoffs in the next 5 years?
