Chiefs nominees for the 2018 Hall of Fame

Rich Gannon Neil Smith Albert Lewis Nick Lowery Bill Cowher Tom Flores Marty Schottenheimer Dick Vermeil Two mysteries that show the rigor of the committee are the naming of Steve Smith (not the Panthers one who isn't eligible, but the Giants one with 2,400 receiving yards) and Ferrell Edmunds (80 career starts, two pro bowls, never more than 33 receptions in a season, total of 12 career touchdowns). Steve Smith was obviously stupidity due to the voters not doing their research, but what's the deal with Ferrell Edmunds? I barely vaguely remember that he was an NFL player. Did he do something noteworthy that I don't recall? Presumably there was an administrative oversight that left Otis Taylor, Deron Cherry, and Johnny Robinson off the lists, because they have to be on there. |
Apparently Ferrell Edmunds made the preliminary cut in 2000 for some reason, but got edged out in the voting by Joe Montana. He hasn't made the preliminary cut since.
Who the heck is Ferrell Edmunds? |
Rich Gannon can go **** himself. I hope he never gets in.
Where is Rich Scanlon? :cuss:
Damn, no Kareem Hunt?
Neil's SB rings should help his cause...
Marty. Before he dies.
None of them are popular enough.
I still want to hear the argument for Ferrell Edmunds.

I find it interesting and kind of sad that none of these people was a Chief for their whole career. It's how the NFL has evolved.
I only really member vermeil. Marty and cowher should get though right?
