Retro Gaming

Didnt see a thread dedicated to retro gaming so i thought Id start one.

Im a huge retro gaming buff. I have most of the mainstream old school systems (had a TG16 with a CD drive but regretably sold it; plan on buying a new one when i have the $$$), from NES to Genesis to Saturn to N64. Basically anything Dreamcast and before.

Use this thread for game discussions/console debates etc.

Im personally looking for hidden NES gems, and I know theres a lot of them. Seems like ya'll are very familiar with the system so I'll be looking forward to your suggestions.

Crystalis for NES wasn't a widespread game, but it's pretty damn good.

Metal Storm is decent, too.

Skip to 4:00 to see (gasp) PARALLAX SCROLLING on the NES!

I've read about this one. Good thing about the NES (unlike the Saturn which has even mediocre games going for anywhere between 50-200) is most of these games are dirt cheap. I'll definitely be picking this game up off eBay when I have the extra cash lying around.

Just watched a video of that game. It reminds me of Baseball Simulator 1.0000.

I was a **** hair away from buying that game when I was a kid. The cover looked cool.

Ended up with Metal Gear. Disaster averted.

metal gear is another game i want to pick up, as well as Castlevania 2 despite all its flaws

just fired up the saturn, playing some marvel v capcom 2. if only the saturn got as much love in the us as it did in japan. so much wasted potential :(

Blaster Master is a good game. Dragon Warrior 4. Castlevania 1 & 3 are good. Contra.

Mega Man games are good, especially 2. Bionic Commando.
